"Firewatch," is independent developer Campo Santo's latest creation and it is the opposite of your usual action-packed video game, where a user may reportedly find the solitude of being alone in the woods addictive and its initial release date was Feb. 9, 2016, according to The Atlantic.

The game is set in 1989, in the forests of Wyoming and it's a year after wildfires destroyed most of Yellowstone National Park. Users play as Henry, who took the summer job as one of the fire lookouts in the wilderness. His supervisor, Delilah, is a player's only contact and she is available at all times over a hand-held radio.

Developer Campo Santo, is based in San Francisco and has an 11-person team. This is their first game but members of the group have created games like "The Walking Dead," "Mark of the Ninja," "Bioshock 2" and " The Cave."

"The thing with a lot of those old '90s-era adventure games is that they were kind of good despite their gameplay, not because of it," says Campo Santo designer and programmer, Nels Anderson. "Nobody plays them for the really obtuse puzzles where you have to put maple syrup on cat hair to make a mustache," cited CBC News.

Indie game "Firewatch," was intentionally made to remind users of old adventure video games and to allow the gamer to explore the "state of being alone, both psychologically and physically." It definitely is a story-driven game by Campo Santo and favorable reviews have started to pour in since its release date.

Meanwhile, the highly anticipated first-person game's technical performance on the PS4 has an inconsistent and choppy frame rate. The studio is reportedly very aware of the glitch and they are doing everything they can to fix this as soon as possible.

"FWIW (For What It's Worth), we're currently talking to both Sony and Unity and we're all working hard to to optimize the performance of 'Firewatch' on PS4," posted a developer from the studio on the popular gaming forum, NeoGAF, reported Gadgets 360.

"Firewatch" by Campo Santo's release date was in early February and the game is available on Sony's PlayStation 4 and PC. It retails for $19.99.
