Prior to its highly anticipated release next month, Lionsgate Entertainment, recently unleashed a breathtaking "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" finale trailer, which apparently is loaded with tons of great action and of course, romance.
The 70-second finale trailer continues to focus on Beatrice "Tris" Prior (Shailene Woodley), who is the only pure being that has given an opportunity to leave the barren and post-apocalyptic Chicago.
In the trailer, actor Jeff Daniels, who plays the leader of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare, was seen persuading Tris to come out together with his kin and save themselves while choosing to get rid of the rest, seemingly for the betterment of humanity.
Needless to say, that just won't stand for Tris and as a result, Tris alongside Four (Theo James) will leave the only city and family they have ever known and will significantly enter a new world, far more dangerous than ever before.
"After the earth-shattering revelations of 'Insurgent,' Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago," as noted by /Film. "Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths."
The duo, Tris and Four, should rapidly choose then on who they can trust as a savage battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which debilitate all of the humankind. With a specific end goal to survive, "Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love."
With that being said, it is now strongly speculated that "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" will definitely make way for an alternate ending, wherein Tris, in any case, be alive and kicking in "Ascendant."
What's more, an alternate ending can evidently be set up to make spin-offs for the "Divergent" franchise later on. Indeed, it seems likely so, as most recent news further fuels such alternate ending talks.
"[Even] Theo James had in the past even teased an alternate ending in early stages of promotion of 'Insurgent' and had said that Tris and Four will have twins named Bertie and Bernadette in 'Divergent: Allegiant'," according to Movie News Guide.
