While the Rolling Stones are currently busy working on their new album, singer Elton John has a piece of advice to give to the band members.
In a recent interview with a US radio station, singer Elton John advised The Rolling Stones to stop following the current musical trends and return back to their roots.
"What I think the Rolling Stones should do is a great blues record, and go back to what they used to do - and do things like Come On - the Chuck Berry song like they did in their early career," John said, reported the Mirror. "That is what they should do."
He claimed that the band's music is no longer relevant on radio.
"I think Mick wants to still be relevant on the radio - well they are not," John added, reported NME. "And I think Keith would love to do a record like that. And that is what they should be doing."
The Rolling Stones are reportedly working on their new album, which is expected to get released sometime in 2016.
Band members Sir Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards were spotted working on their next release in a London studio.
The British rock band's upcoming studio album will be a follow-up to their 2005 released album "A Bigger Bang."
Furthermore, guitarist Ronnie Wood had revealed about the band's upcoming plans in an interview with ABC Radio last year.
"We'll maybe go in the studio in December and cut a few tracks and see what happens," Wood said. "We'll take it from there, see how it all goes. One thing at a time."
The Rolling Stones kicked off their 12-date tour entitled "America Latina Ole Tour 2016" on Feb. 3, 2016, in Santiago, Chile.
The new Rolling Stones album is expected to be released sometime later in 2016.
