''H1Z1'' is a video game which is being developed by Daybreak Game Company (now known as Sony Online Entertainment).
PS4 gamers are waiting with a lot of anticipation for the release of the PS4 version of it. The new update states that the game will be split into two versions and the PS4 release will happen in summer 2016.
Initially, the developers had mentioned that they will release the game by Jan. 2015. However, it is past Jan. 2016 and the developers are still testing it.
As per the latest update on the official website, ''H1Z1'' is evolving into two games. The first one ''H1Z1: Just Survive'' as per the website is ''a persistent, open-world zombie survival game'' and ''H1Z1: King of the Kill'' is ''a high-intensity last-man standing shooter game.''
Right now they are selling the early access versions and the offer will close on Feb. 17, 2016. It is priced at $14.99.
As per the latest update on the official site, on Feb. 4, 2016 the developers had posted about the test server update.
''You will see a small Test Server update tonight. Nothing major to call out. There was an issue on the Test Server with upper wall structures not placing correctly that we are trying to address'' was the actual verbatim of the update.
On Feb. 8, 2016, the update talks about the release of a new weapon katana. Apparently, this weapon was launched due to the request of the gamers. The developers are working on this new weapon and all the details can be found on the site.
There is one more update released on Feb. 12, 2016. It is about survivor radio.
''In a world overrun by zombies, creatures, and fellow survivors struggling to stay alive, Survivor Radio broadcasts the stories of the perils and the triumphs faced by the remaining living. As you are one of the few left among the living, we want to hear YOUR story!'' the description of this radio as mentioned by the developers on the site.
They have invited the players to upload their stories in the form of an essay. There are prizes to be won for the best essay. All the details can be found on the site.
Steampowered mentioned that there was a temporary hold on trading on Feb. 12, 2016 due to the game split. The market trades were suspended at 3 PM PST on Feb. 12, 2016 and will come back online on Feb.17, 2016 after the game split.
It is also updated that now two separate development teams will develop these two games. The official release dates were announced.
''Additionally, we are happy to tell you that we'll be bringing H1Z1: King of the Kill out of Early Access on the PC and to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this summer. We're working on our plans for bringing H1Z1: Just Survive out of Early Access and to console as well, and we'll share more details about that in the future'' is what is mentioned on the site.
