American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne joined Eagles members Bernie Leadon, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit in a tribute for the late Glenn Frey, ew.com reported.

Frey was the Eagles co-founder and guitarist and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. He passed away on the 18th of January of this year, in New York City. He was 67 years old. According to the official statement published on eagles.com, Frey "fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia."

According to rollingstone.com, Browne dedicated the song "Take it Easy" to Frey during his concert back in January in Florida. The hit song was co-written by him and Frey.

Browne along with Eagles band members performed the same song as they paid tribute to the hall of fame band during the 58th Annual Grammy Awards Night in Los Angeles, California.

ew.com reported that the group, after their performance, was presented a Grammy award by producer Ken Ehrlich though it was 38 years late after the band did not accept the Record of the Year Award for "Hotel California" back in 1978.

Frey's passing has caused sorrow across the musical realm. Icons all over the industry expressed their homage to the rock icon.

Eagles drummer Henley, in an article by rollingstone.com, issued a statement saying "We were two young men who made the pilgrimage to Los Angeles with the same dream:  to make our mark in the music industry - and with perseverance, a deep love of music, our alliance with other great musicians and our manager, Irving Azoff, we built something that has lasted longer than anyone could have dreamed."

"But, Glenn was the one who started it all.  He was the spark plug, the man with the plan," he added.
