"One Punch Man" anime season 2 may cover the Hero Hunter arc in the manga.
HNGN reported that the next arc in the "One Punch Man" manga, right after the defeat of Lord Boros, is the Hero Hunter arc. The publication noted that this involves the introduction of the series' most powerful villain so far, Garou.
Garou used to be a class S rank 3 hero and was Silver Fang's disciple. However, he went berserk and Bang was forced to send him to exile.
He is viewed as a Mysterious Being by the Hero Association and was given the name "Human Monster."
"One Punch Man" episode 10 showed one scene where Silver Fang was showing off his Fist of Flowing Water, Crushed Rock technique to Saitama, Genos and another student in his dojo.
It was revealed that the decline of Bang's dojo was caused by one of his disciples, Garou, who went on a rampage and maimed the other students.
Garou is depicted as someone with sharp features, yellow eyes and long spiky white hair. Although he is not very large, he is shown to be muscular.
According to HNGN, fans can expect more "edge-of-your-seat action" if "One Punch Man" anime season 2 does focus on the Hero Hunter arc. Apparently, Garou's main objective is to hunt down the top ranking heroes.
Ecumenical News added that another potential rival for Saitama in "One Punch Man" anime season 2 would be Amai Mask. It was noted that the class A rank 1 hero blamed the class S heroes over the destruction of the city in episode 12.
It was recently reported that "One Punch Man" anime season 2 may possibly have more than 12 episodes. The highly-anticipated season is also said to premiere by December this year.
Anime creator Yusuke Murata previously took to Twitter to announce that he is hard at work in making season 2 happen.
