A series of tweets from the top NBA insiders might have revealed the Toronto Raptors' plans as the trade deadline nears.

The Raptors were once strongly linked to trying to attain disgruntled Phoenix Sun Markieff Morris via trade.

Morris' trade demand has been well-known ever since he made it public in an interview with philly.com. Morris said he didn't want to be with Suns team anymore even before the season started. "One thing for sure, I am not going to be there," Morris said during the offseason.

"If you want to put that out there, you can put that out," he added. "I don't give a [freak]. I am not going to be there at all. That's just what it is."

When asked whether he would show up for the team this season, Morris said "I've got to show up. No question. You can't do that. I will be a professional. Don't get me wrong."

"But it won't get that far," he added. "I'm going to be out before then, should be."

However, as Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted, "One contender who is not interested in Phoenix's Markieff Morris: The Toronto Raptors."

Given this, the Raptors are still looking for a power forward to boost their chances of going deep in this year's Playoffs. Insider Frank Isola also mentioned via tweet, "Raptors and Clippers are both interested in Brooklyn's Thaddeus Young."

In addition to this, ESPN's Zach Lowe said that the Raptors are in "Win Now" mentality and a trade for Young would be welcome. The Raptors could offer Patrick Patterson and a draft pick for the left-handed versatile forward.

The Nets, on the other hand, want to start anew and moving Young would be a big step. As per espn.com, owner Mikhail Prokhorov said that the team needed a new start.

"Our approach helped us reach the playoffs three seasons in a row, but we have failed [to win a title], and it's important for us to go [further]," Prokhorov said. "That's why we need a small reset for this year, and I hope we will be back as a playoff team and as a championship contender. It's my only goal."
