It seems fans will have to wait a little longer for "Life is Strange" season 2 as the release date of the popular graphic adventure game is expected to happen sometime next year.
According to Video Games Blogger, "Life is Strange" season 2 might get released in January 2017.
"What is the Life Is Strange Season 2 release date?" the report read. "Everyone's asking that question, and the short answer is a guess for end January 2016 at the earliest and more realistically January 2017 at the latest."
Recently, Dontnod co-founder Alain Damasio revealed during an interview with French publication Alchimy, translated by Reddit user Koyl, that he will be writing the script of the game.
"I worked as a script doctor on Life is Strange, developed by the studio Dontnod, and I will participate in 'Life is Strange 2' later," Damasio said, according to Game Spot.
The sequel was confirmed by game producer Luc Baghadoust in an interview with Polygon.
"I would love to have the opportunity to do another season," Baghadoust said.
Meanwhile, the game's co-director Michel Koch also revealed that the follow-up story will revolve around a completely new group of characters.
"We can really go with other characters, other locations, but still keep the identity of the game, the themes of the game," Koch said.
He said that the story of lead character Max and some other characters were already closed in the last episode, hinting that "Life is Strange" season 2 will have a new story and new characters as well.
In another interview, Koch and Raoul Barbet shared that Max and Chloe arcs have ended.
"Whichever choice the player made, Max reached the end of her coming-of-age story, now she has grown up," they said, reported IBTimes.
"She made her pivotal decision and the player helped to create her character, her feelings, her relationships. We like to think that we did our job as storytellers and game designers, we helped the players to meet their own personal version of Max and Chloe."
However, no information confirming the start of production or details related to the sequel have been announced yet.
