The first full trailer of Netflix's "Daredevil" was recently released and fans got excited as they saw Frank Castle AKA The Punisher for the very first time.
Based on the trailer, it seems that the Punisher, who is played by Jon Bernthal, will be the second season's main antagonist. Castle, who is a beloved Marvel superhero, is depicted as a man thirsty for blood and revenge. His methods are different from Charlie Cox's Matthew Murdock as he uses weapons to hunt down the men who killed his family.
While Elektra was not seen in the trailer, the show's writers have confirmed her inclusion in the series and even spoke about their potential costumes. As per screencrush.com, the show's head honcho spoke about how they were keeping their costumes a secret from the fans.
The new show's head Doug Petrie said, "I mean, the short answer is: 'You're gonna have to watch,' but, we were very, very aware of it and, I think, what we were thinking - first and foremost - were two questions."
He then added, "One was what looks cool? How much do we love the comics and can we do that? And, then also, in terms of bringing [actress Elodie Yung] in and her martial arts training - which is so evident in what she does and who she is as a character - what would you really fight in? What would protect you? Also, Elektra isn't just about protection. She's a little bit of a stylist, so we threw all that into the mix."
"Anything like a comic book costume, to us, a fun part of the challenge is making it organically feel part of the world or the tapestry of the world that makes it seem like season one, added the show's other writer Marco Ramirez.
"So, will people be wearing kick ass costumes in this show? Yes. Yes, everybody does - we promise! But, that said, we wanted to make it feel as organic and grounded as possible."
