Drake and Rihanna were reported to be collaborating on the new track, "Work," and promptly triggered dating rumors once again.
But the "Diamonds" singer quickly quelled all talks during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as she said that she's currently not seeing anybody.
"I'm single right now and it's not that I'm like, 'Oh, pro-single, yes, I hate men!'" she said. "I just think I have so much on my plate that I can't even find the time to entertain a steady relationship or anything serious. Or even a text."
However, even if she's not dating Drake, Rihanna said that she would like for something to happen.
"[I] love to go on tour with Drake. That has to happen," she told DeGeneres.
This would be the third time that Drake and Rihanna would be collaborating for a song. In 2010, they worked on "What's My Name" and then Rihanna contributed to the Canadian rapper's "Take Care" in 2011.
But if there's one more proof that Rihanna and Drake won't happen, the "Hotline Bling" hitmaker erased all doubts during an interview with W magazine where he shared the deal-breaker when it comes to women.
"Most people I know stay in Toronto," he said. "I plan to spend the rest of my life there. The talk, the smell, the sound that comes out of that city is home to me. When I think about the girls I want to get romantic with, it's a girl from Toronto who knows what I'm talking about when we drive around the city."
That seems to exclude Lavie Roso, the Instagram model who was rumored to be dating Drake last year, as well.
Lavie Roso, whom the tabloids described as having similar body type to Serena Williams, is based in Texas, according to Bustle, who might be averse to the very cold weather in Toronto, which can plummet at below freezing temperatures particularly in the winter season.
