John Cena has been documenting his recovery efforts through social media and the WWE superstar has been determined to return to the ring soon. However, Cena's Twitter posts seem to communicate the struggles he's facing.

"On those overwhelming days where work seems impossible, focus on 1 thing at a time. 1st thing, get up and start the day!! #nevergiveup," is what he wrote on Twitter last Feb. 17.

Could Daniel Bryan's recent retirement make an impact on Cena's outlook? And just like Bryan, is Cena's injury worse than what he let on?

John Cena recently took a rest from wresting to prioritize his health and undergo surgery for his shoulder injury.

In our previous report, it is to be noted that it could take approximately six to nine months to recover from a labrum surgery. But with less than two months after his operation, Cena seemed to be eager to return to the ring soon and fans share the same sentiment.

Meanwhile, Forbes took note of the attempt of WWE to delay WrestleMania 32 purportedly because they were hoping Cena could return and fight the Undertaker. This is not at all a lost case as it can be noted in the past just how capable Cena is at recovering quickly than others after an injury, as per WhatCulture.

On John Cena's latest Twitter post, he thanked his girlfriend Nikki Bella for the support she's given him.

"Thank u @BellaTwins for inspiring me thru even the 'down' days 2 #nevergiveup U r the strongest person I know I <3U"

Nikki Bella also underwent surgery for her neck injury. The two have been supporting each other and has seemed to grow closer because of what they've been going through.

Has there been a secret engagement between the two already? And will there possibly be a wedding before their WWE return?
