Curtis James Jackson III, popularly known as 50 Cent, while in the midst of promoting his new album, was summoned to bankruptcy court after he has been seen in series of Instagram posts surrounded by a hefty amount of cash, despite his claim of bankruptcy in July of last year.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Judge Ann Nevins is questioning the truth about the rapper's financial situation.

"I'm concerned about allegations of nondisclosure and a lack of transparency in the case," Judge Nevins said, according to WSJ. "There's a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process."

Nevins further added that bankruptcy is where "honest, but unfortunate" people can get a fresh start, according to WSJ.

Lastonia Leviston, who filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent regarding a sex tape dispute, was the one who flagged the said photos, after not being able to collect the $7 million lawsuit payment when the rapper star filed for bankruptcy, according to Fox Business.

Having another trip to the courtroom might possibly take a toll on the production of his new album, "Street King Immortal," which was supposed to be released in 2015.

In response to the allegations, 50 Cent's lawyers issued a statement, "By including pictures from [Mr. Jackson's] social media accounts and implying that [he] is hiding assets...the [three creditors] intentionally ignore that [Mr. Jackson] is in the entertainment and promotion business and must maintain his brand and image (or those of the products he is promoting)," his lawyers said in documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn, according to Fox Business.

Furthermore, his lawyers assured the court saying, "Mr. Jackson has been forthcoming and transparent with all creditors," according to Fox59.

Meanwhile, last week, 50 Cent took to Instagram to announce another new album mixtape dubbed "Kanan Reloaded".

In his photo his wrote the caption, "Available on iTunes Now, KANAN RELOADED COMING SOON. #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO Link in bio"
