Everyone knows Taylor Swift’s red lip signature style. She’s almost never seen without wearing one matched with her perfectly winged eyeliner. In an interview with Southern Living magazine, Taylor Swift revealed that she cannot go anywhere without her trusty red lipstick. She even brings it to the gym and swipe it on after a quick workout.
"The red lip is my one go-to style. Sometimes I don't even put any other makeup on, just a red lip and maybe some mascara. Everyday that I go to the gym it's documented by a minimum of 20 photographers," she said.
There were countless rumors that Taylor used to take hours to get ready after she finished working out. As ridiculous at they seem, it's not hard to believe given that she looked polished every single time!
"I've read reports that I've taken hours to get ready after I work out. It's so funny that they chalked it up to me doing a whole glam thing. Very flattering, but very very untrue," she added.
In an interview with People, Taylor Swift also explained that she opts for red lipstick shades because her face "looks worse" without it. The "Style" singer adds that she almost always choose her outfit based on her choice of red lipstick.
"I'll go through different phases with makeup and always try new things. Except I never really get too far from red lipstick, do I? I guess I just think my face looks worse without it. That's pretty much the only rationale behind it."
As for her go-to shades for red lipstick, Taylor has professed her love for NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl. She also wears CoverGirl LipPerfection LipColour in the shades of "Hot," "Flame" and "Burn."
