"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" will be hitting big screens in two years, but rumors about what the plot could be about keep surfacing online.
Orlando Bloom may be rejoining Johnny Depp as Will Turner, but it looks like his on-screen partner, Keira Knightley, will not be back.
Knightley, who plays the role of Elizabeth Swann, will reportedly not be back. Although Elizabeth and Will's love story was the main focus of the plots of the franchise's first three films, it would seem that the fifth film will be carried on without her.
"My time has definitely passed," Knightley said, according to Movie Pilot. "I loved it! It was an amazing experience. But, I will not be going back."
Also, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" plot will not be picking up where the previous film left off. It has been mentioned in Jobs & Hire that the fifth installment will have a twenty-year jump from "At World's End" and that it will be following the experiences of Davy Jones' son.
However, considering that Davy Jones had already met his demise in the franchise's third movie, it is highly likely that the film will, instead, focus on Will's son. After all, Wil is the new Davy Jones. Brenton Thwaites of "The Giver" was reportedly cast to play the role of Henry, which is believed to be Elizabeth and Will's son.
"It is about a young man who wants to reconnect with his father, Davy Jones," Thwaites revealed. "There is a curse that prevents him from doing that. I think it is about how he goes around that and tries to fix it. He has to save his dad!"
Back then, Bloom as Will was a very handsome and strong blacksmith - someone who usually has a happy aura. Now, though, rumor has it that he will be quite gnarly. For several months, Bloom's return was only rumored. Just recently, it has officially been confirmed that he will be back to reprise his iconic role.
"I am, of course, Davy Jones now!" Bloom told IGN. "So, I am down the bottom of the ocean. It might be, kind of, fun to do something where I am rumbling round the bottom of the ocean because I will not look anything like me."
