A viral video is making rounds in the internet. However, unlike other videos that dealt with happy occasions, this one is heartbreaking. It is a video of a father, Chris Picco, playing his guitar while singing "Blackbird" to his dying newborn son. His wife, Ashley Picco, died in her sleep while giving birth to their first child. The baby was delivered by caesarian section at only 24 weeks old. Lennon James Picco, succumbed to complications because he was born prematurely reaching only four days of his life.
While Ashley was pregnant, Chris remembers that whenever he plays the guitar or sings to him, he would move a lot. When Chris was delivered the bad news, he was in distraught. He then learned that his son has no chances to live longer. He decided to play his guitar and sing to his newborn son before he would die. The baby was too premature that the immaturity of his organs made it impossible for him to thrive.
He recalled that he was an expectant father and a loving husband for some time, and in just days, he was all alone. A memorial page was made for his loving wife and he posted, "Ashley would often feel Lennon moving to music so I brought my guitar today and gave him a little concert."
The video had millions of hits within days since it was uploaded. Apparently, his heartbreaking story captured the hearts of many people worldwide. According to CNN News, Chris said that it is impossible to sum up what has happened in the past days. He added, "My wife, best friend and mother of my child passed away. I have a lifetime to grieve this unspeakable loss, but I know that right now she would want me to focus completely on baby Lennon James Picco..."
Baby Lennon died in the arms of his father. Chris posted to thank his family, friends and those who in one way or another, provided support. ""Dear friends, family, and supporters; it is with an unbelievably heavy heart that I write this. My little fighter, Lennon James Picco went to sleep in his daddy's arms late last night. He was surrounded by family, friends, and the best doctors, nurses and hospital staff in the world. He was dressed in an outfit that Ashley bought for him, with little guitars on it, and wrapped in a blanket made by a dear friend. I am so thankful for the four unforgettable days I got to spend with him. His mommy would have been so beyond joy to see him and to hold him, touch him, bathe him, sing to him - as I have had the privilege of doing. I have been so blessed and honored to love him before he was formed, to cherish him while mommy carried him, meet him face to precious face, and hold his perfect little body while we said 'goodbye for now'. There are no words, but I wanted to keep you updated, as your love and support has meant more than anything in the world. All you need is love."
