Kristen Stewart news suggest that the actress may have predicted the huge, gender-related changes that the "Twilight" franchise will get.
Fans are well aware that author Stephenie Meyer came up with a new book, "Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined."
However, instead of making a new story, "Twilight Reimagined" is, basically, the same "Twilight" story, except that the genders of the main characters were switched. Bella will become Beaufort, while Edward will become Edythe. Jacob will also become Jamie.
Although Meyer has just finished this new project recently, Kristen Stewart news reveal that she had already talked about such treatment three years ago. While she - and the rest of the cast of "Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" - was busy promoting their movie, she mentioned a possible change in roles.
"I think if you were to swap the roles, if you were to have Edward and Bella be switched around, people would find him to be so courageous!" Stewart said, according to MTV. "'Wow! He just laid it out on the line for her and really trusts himself! And, even in the face of the strongest activity, he does not deny his feelings!'"
"If it was not for Bella, they would have stopped after the first movie!" she continued.
Meyer also revealed, according to Inquisitr, that swapping the genders of the "Twilight" main characters was something that she had actually wanted to do in celebration of the franchise's 10th anniversary.
"The further you get in, the more it changes because the personalities get a little bit different," Meyer said. "It starts out very similar. And, it really is the same story because it is just a love story! It does not matter who is the boy and who is the girl, it still works out!"
Despite the mixed reactions that the franchise got from its fan base, "Twilight Reimagined" debuted at No. 2 on the bestseller list of Amazon.
