Patrick Dempsey, who is in a rumored feud with Ellen Pompeo, was reportedly making up with his estranged wife, Jillian Fink. However, contrary to popular belief, the divorce is still on.
Dempsey and Fink were recently spotted out and about in Paris. Images of the couple holding hands as they walked the streets of the City of Love fueled rumors that they are not pushing through with their divorce. Unfortunately, though, TMZ has confirmed that they have absolutely no plans of pulling the plug on their divorce.
The actor was written off from the highly watched medical drama, "Grey's Anatomy," and had more time to repair the relationship that he has with his wife. Patrick Dempsey even reportedly gave up his long-term friendship with co-star Ellen Pompeo - who happens to be his on-screen wife.
Although Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo are allegedly not in speaking terms with one another, it has been confirmed that the biggest issue that caused the actor's split with his wife is his undying passion for racing. Apparently, Dempsey has become obsessed with the sport that there were times when he was gone for very long periods of time. This was what bothered Fink, considering that they have three children together.
Fink filed for the divorce this January. Moreover, according to sources, the couple has already reached a settlement regarding their separation.
Amidst Dempsey's marital issues with Fink, Pompeo continues her career as Meredith Grey on the ABC show. Being on Shonda Rhimes' for 11 seasons now, she has certainly proven that she has the acting chops to make it big in the industry. That said, she may have motivated a fellow actress to pursue a career in TV.
Bollywood's Priyanka Chopra, the star of "Quantico," revealed that Pompeo was "the real reason" that she "fell in love with TV," according to Indian Express.
