Actor Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie in the series, revealed some details on Claire's pregnancy.
According to a report with Movie News Guide, stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who play the main leads in "Outlander" season 2, recently sat down to answer some of the burning questions fans had regarding the show's second season. The pair seems to have gotten close for the entirety of the series, sparking rumors that the pair is secretly dating.
The latest report with Master Herald showed that one of the most highly anticipated "Outlander" season 2 spoilers will debut Claire and Jamie's daughter, Brianna who will be played by Sophie Skelton. Claire is revealed to be pregnant with Jamie's child and from the looks of things, the pair is going to have a complicated pregnancy on their way to Paris.
Master Herald also reported that Brianna will be revealed in "Outlander" season 2 in an "unusual" way, it is unclear as of the moment how this entire thing will fare, though it is most likely that she will be revealed in flashbacks.
The report described Skelton's character as a "striking, redheaded woman, strong-minded and intelligent beyond her years." She is to inherit these traits from both her mother and father, the report said.
Jamie and Claire will also be facing difficulties in their relationship as Paris seems to reveal Jamie's "deceptive side." This will be a side to Jamie that Claire does not know of and it will most likely put a strain on their relationship and make her pregnancy difficult.
"Season 2 has been about discovering a side of the character I didn't know was there," Heughan said of the "Outlander" season 2 spoilers. "He's playing someone else - he's learning to be quite deceptive, and he does it very well."
"Outlander" season 2 returns to Starz sometime in April.
