In a report with People Magazine, "The Vampire Diaries" actor talked about marriage and bliss and that he has found it with his wife. Ian Somerhalder talked about waking up in Malibu next to his wife Nikki Reed and called it "pure bliss." Though there are persistent rumors of him hooking up with ex Nina Dobrev on the side, the actor insists that he is in love with his wife.
"Every single day," he told the celebrity magazine. "Look who I get to wake up with. We're under kitties and dogs, and it's just pure bliss."
His wife, Nikki Reed, is a staunch animal rights activist and has shared that love with her husband. Both are known to have a menangerie of dogs and cats in the home they both share. Reed has also been known to foster animals from time to time.
There might have been ugly rumors that Ian Somerhalder is cheating on the side with Nina Dobrev. Fans have never really moved on from the breakup and are still hoping for a reconciliation. Parent Herald says that the rumors have not affected his marriage with Nikki Reed at all.
