The latest Nintendo NX is rumored to be slated for a possible Q1 2016 release date.
N4BB has reported that the console might be released "sometime this spring" and aside from being the focus at the upcoming E3 conference, Nintendo NX might be released as both a console and a handheld portable device.
Express UK also reported that there was a questionnaire created to ask "which products the consumer had heard about and what level of interest they have in buying it in the next 12 months."
The survey was put together by US store, Gamestop. The questionnaire gave light to a variety of new gadgets, including a range of Virtual Reality headsets from HTC and PlayStation.
Recent reports state that the Nintendo NX will launch a handheld first, followed by a home console slated with a 2017 release date.
Dr. Serkan Toto, an industry analyst, has unveiled that a new "Super Smash Bros." game which will be launched together with the Nintendo NX, making it the device's launch title.
"Bandai Namco is currently developing several NX titles. 'Smash Bros.' is planned to be a launch title. I am not sure about the date yet," Toto said via Twitter.
"To follow up on my last tweet: I haven't heard if it's a completely new (numbered) Smash Bros. or not. Otherwise, source situation is solid."
Independent UK reported that while it is quite impossible if the rumors are true or not, it would still be a good choice for Nintendo to put Super Smash Bros in the launch.
Bandai Namco is the driving force behind game titles like "Dark Souls," "Tekken" and "Pac-Man."
Nintendo NX rumored to be released as both a home console and a handheld device will allow the company to deviate from the Wii and Nintendo 3DS systems.
Fans might have to wait for the exact date of the Nintendo NX release, but it is confirmed that "Super Smash Bros." will be released with either the console or the handheld device.
