"Neko Atsume" has a new update that is good news for cat lovers.
The popular cat-collecting game will be having a pop-up store in Hong Kong. Not only can fans of the game get their favorite cats, there are also limited edition items up for grabs.
According to Grape, Hong Kong was chosen to be the location for the pop-up store since a lot of tourists enjoy visiting the country and it is also a hub for popular trends in Asia. This will be the first official shop that will be opened and will only be available for a very limited time.
"Stepping into the shop must be like a fantasy for players of the popular cat collecting game," reported the site for the new "Neko Atsume" update. "As the store's layout is modeled after the garden featured in the game. This means visitors can take their own pictures at spots featured in the game, and replicate cat poses."
"As a celebratory twist, the shop and goods feature Hong-distinct items such as Dim Sum, egg tarts, English style mailboxes, and trams (a favorite of Ekicho-san/Conductor Whiskers) to make it a Hong-Kong themed 'Neko-Atsume.'"
While there are other cushions and knick knacks to buy, there are some limited edition items that should be bought before they run out. Items such as the limited edition Hong Kong badges, mug and cushion were exclusively designed by Bandai Namco.
The cats are seen enjoying everything from dimsum to riceballs and eggtarts to double decker buses. Fans of the game will be able to spot Conductor Whisters sneakily hiding in the second level of the bus.
There is no update as to how long the "Neko Atsume" store will be open but those who are interested in purchasing some official items can go to the pop-up store in Hongkong.
According to a press release, it is located at Shop Nos. 03, 05 and 11 on the ninth floor of Langham Place in 8 Argyle Street, Kowloon, Hongkong.
