Will a third party finally sever the ties between Claire and Frank Underwood? A new cast member joins "House of Cards" season 4.
Previous reports have already revealed that there is turmoil in the Underwood residence especially since "House of Cards" season 3 revealed that the couple aren't in agreeing terms so far. There may be disagreements between Claire (Robin Wright) and Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) amid the crazy political life, but latest cast news reveals there may be more issues come season 4.
A report by Variety revealed the newest cast member joining season 4 and it's no other than 2014 "Robocop" star, Joel Kinnaman. The newest addition to the "House of Cards" cast roster is a noted Swedish-American actor who has also dabbled in TV series.
According to /Film, "Best known for playing Stephen Holder on 'The Killing,' Kinnaman was able to witness the mighty power of Netflix firsthand when AMC's mystery series found a post-cancellation home on the streaming platform, allowing it time to reach a proper conclusion."
Meanwhile, there's a lot of speculations about the character this new "House of Cards" cast member will play come season 4. While most reports have revealed that Netflix has yet to announce how Joel Kinnaman's character will jump into season 4, it seems that this cast member could may well be another reason that pulls away Claire from Frank in the next chapter of "House of Cards."
Neve Campbell, another addition to the growing cast list of "House of Cards" season 4 has been revealed to portray a more-likely unfriendly role to the Underwoods. While this doesn't mean just in the political arena, the arrival of Kinnaman offers the possibility that apart from the political challenges the Underwoods (or, in season 4, could just be Frank) could face as "House of Cards" return, there might also be that growing lover's spat, fuelled by the arrival of a third party.
The entire cast of "House of Cards" season 4 returns this March.
