"The Walking Dead" creator has confirmed season 6 will be emotional with the looming death of a beloved character. Does this mean Daryl Dixon?
There have been many speculations of major character death after the arrival of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan character in "The Walking Dead" season 6. Among the characters, however, it seems that most fans have been asking if this chapter will bring death to everyone's favorite wingman, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).
Previous reports have already speculated that the last episodes of "The Walking Dead" have slowly laid out the possibility of Daryl's death. He'd already been separated from the group during the time when Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the survivors of Alexandria left the compound. This definitely isn't a good omen for the bow-wielding hunter.
A report by iDigitalTimes revealed how creator Robert Kirkman may have fed the rumors about Daryl's death in season 6. Kirkman shared that there's that constant fear of losing one of Rick's members and the latest "The Walking Dead" chapter will definitely bring that fear back on. "If you go too long a period with characters surviving and being safe you lose that element of 'Oh my god, these characters could go at any moment,'" Kirkman revealed to 'Inside the Actor's Studio' via the report.
"That's a tremendously powerful engine that drives this thing and it's very emotional but in comics it's me and the artist going, 'I guess those lines in the paper don't exist anymore. Oh, well'," he pointed out. "It's very emotional for us because we do love these characters but it doesn't have that added element that the TV show has where these are our friends that we see everyday but it doesn't stop us. We don't care," added "The Walking Dead" creator.
While "The Walking Dead" season 6 is still a few days away, fans are already lamenting the possible death of Daryl Dixon. Although of course none will be confirmed until the actual season 6 returns, "The Walking Dead" fans have a lot to worry about.
