In "The Vehm" episode, the task force investigates a cult known as "The Vehmm," who torture and kill their victims by means of medieval techniques. The episode opens with a clown who, after leaving a birthday party, was suddenly kidnapped by a group of unknown men and then after was horribly tortured with molten lead being poured unto him.
On the other hand, Liz weighs her decision to pursue the baby or not while Tom was offered a job as a teacher in Boston. Later on, Tom finds out that Liz was pregnant when he happens to find the pros and cons list that she wrote.
At the headquarters, Red explained the next assignment of the team. It appears that "The Vehm" cult's goal is to punish the sinners of the world. And they uncovered that the latest victim was a pedophile. Soon after, the team will discover that members of "The Vehm" were all past pedophiles who castrated themselves as a form of retribution for their sins.
Furthermore into the investigation, they will again uncover that "The Vehm" is being used and manipulated to target money launderers, not pedophiles, for the interest of someone else.
Afterward, Liz and Tom try to figure out what to do with the baby. Tom suggests that they flee and get away from Red, but Liz knows that it would be difficult, according to IB Times. She considers having the baby for adoption, despite support from Tom, because she fears that Red will never stop interfering in their lives.
