Google already released their own take on a tablet in the form of Google Pixel C which was first released in September 2015.

Tablets are part of a need to replace the heavy weight laptops which have been a long time burden for consumers.

Since the introduction of this new line of gadget, tech-giants have been continuously competing with each other by creating own versions of their tablet either at par or more advanced with their counterparts.

Wired CO UK says Google Pixel C is a tablet designed by Google to run on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the latest Android OS.

In addition, the report states that the display of this tablet is at 10.2 inches weighing 517 g with the tablet alone. If the detachable keyboard is included, it would weigh around 916 g which is pretty much heavier compared to other available tablets on the market, like the iPad Pro which only weighs 723 g.

Gadgets 360's review states that at a display of 10.2 inches, its resolution is at 1800 by 2560 pixels with 308 PPI. In terms of raw specifications, Google Pixel C runs on a Nvidia Tegra X1 with a 3 GB RAM processor and a 32-GB internal storage capacity. The tablet is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera and connectivity capabilities for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Digital Trends commendation on the Google Pixel C is that it is the first decent android 2-in-1 but still has problems. It praised the device for its great performance, versatility, beautiful screen and good battery life and how it handles 3D games with ease but also pointed out its lows in terms of its complicated design, cramped keyboard and lack of split-screen multitasking.

As for the price of this tablet, it starts at $500 according to CNet which is almost on par with the prices of Apple Ipad Air 2, Microsoft Surface 3 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.
