The first season of "One Punch Man" was an immense success and fans are asking for more since the initial season only lasted for 12 episodes.
The hilarious, yet poignant take of the superhero genre has made the series a must watch for every anime lover.
IGN even reviews the initial episode as "a great mix of action and comedy, supported by original (see: weird) character designs and solid animation quality. If you're looking for the next big thing in anime, this is it."
After 12 episodes, fans are clamoring for more episodes. When-will.net reveals that the series is yet to be renewed. But it would be unwise for Madhouse not to renew the series since it has become a worldwide phenomenon. The second season will definitely become a huge hit.
The biggest challenge for Madhouse actually rests on the source material. Like many anime TV series, "One Punch Man" is based on the manga with the same name.
As of this writing, there are 94 chapters and some might think there is enough margin for the anime to continue as soon as possible. Saitama's story in the first season nearly covers 37 chapters based on Boros' appearance and defeat on the manga.
But fans who are worried that the anime adaptation would be delayed due to lack of sources, take note that more chapters will be released in the coming months and which should be good enough for a follow-up season.
Otakukart also reported that the anime's illustrator, Murata Yusuke will work harder than ever to release the second season soon.
So what would happen in the next season? The manga series reveals that Genos, one of the first allies of Saitama, would be back to challenge him for another fight. Also, right after the Boros arc, King's story was next in the manga.
This would be an interesting battle knowing that Genos knows the capability of Saitama and he has definitely prepared for another battle.
