With the release date of Dan Brown's "Inferno" movie looming in, fans of Robert Langdon and his adventures are surely tuning in to updates.
Tom Hanks, the actor who played Robert Langdon's character in 2006's "The Da Vinci Code" and 2009's "Angels and Demons," will once again team up with director Ron Howard for the latest Dan Brown movie, "Inferno."
It was previously reported that "Inferno" was supposed to be released in Dec. 18, 2015, however, it was also the same date that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" came out, so Sony pushed for a later release date.
In line with this, "Inferno" cast Irrfan Khan was recently reported to have rejected an offer from Hollywood heavy hitter, Steven Spielberg.
Apparently, even though Irrfan Khan is one of the most famous Indian actors in the US, he had turned down Steven Spielberg's offer because "he did not feel the character offered him much scope."
Aside from being busy filming Dan Brown's "Inferno," Irrfan Khan acted on award winning movies such as "Jurassic World," "The Namesake" and "Life of Pi."
"I didn't feel the character offered to me gave me much scope to I said 'no,' though Scarlett Johansson is an actor I would have loved to share screen space with," Irrfan Khan shared on NDTV.
"India is only going to get bigger in the West. The American film industry is always looking for talent; they have the stories and are eyeing India," Khan explained. "In the next five years, it's only going to get bigger."
Hindustan Times reported that the "Inferno" star turned down another project from Spielberg and from other three directors.
"I am also in talks for another project with Spielberg," Khan of Dan Brown's "Inferno" movie said.
The Indian actor was reported to turn down offers from Ridley Scott to be in "The Martian" and "Body of Lies" and from Christopher Nolan for "Interstellar."
Irrfan Khan will play Harry Sims in Dan Brown's "Inferno" movie.
