Last year, Project Casting posted a casting call for extras for the upcoming film. According to the report, the film is expected to start shooting early 2016 in New Zealand. Specifically, the film will be shot in Wellington's Stone St. Studios. The casting call was for extras of different ethnicity.

Celebuzz reports that the couple was spotted leaving the gym as the actress trains hard as the lead actress of the anticipated movie adaptation of the popular anime.

According to Variety, the film will stay true to the original content since "Johansson will play a member of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission's covert ops unit attempting to bring down a nefarious computer hacker."

Stone St. Studios will also live up to the demands of the upcoming film. Their official website lists the trilogy for "Lord of the Rings," "King Kong" and "The Hobbit" as their big budget projects in the past years.
