Ending the five-year delay of the last installment, the famous "Resident Evil" franchise will come to a close as it concludes with its last sequel "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter".

Although the "Resident Evil: Retribution" appeared to be the last of the series, Mila Jovovich and husband director Paul W.S. Anderson thought they needed to show one more thing, and this gave birth to the upcoming movie in January 2017, Lawyer Herald reported.

Mila Jovovich will still be playing the role of Alice alongside fresh faces like Ruby Rose from "Orange Is The New Black" and Eoin Macken who was reportedly caught off guard during one filming day when he thought he'll never throw lines but actually had to.

According to Irish Daily Mirror, Macken told them: "I had an embarrassing moment on Resident Evil about three months ago when I didn't even realize I had lines.

"We stood there for a read through and Milla said her lines and I was just looking around me and everything went silent with everyone staring at me. There was a whole page I didn't know about."

While some fresh and new faces will be seen in the final installment, rumors were circling that Ali Larter, who viewers last saw in "Resident Evil: Afterlife", will be reprising her role as Claire Redfield, according to Lawyer Herald.

Coming Soon Net confirmed this rumor as it reported that Ali Larter will be joining the final cast together with the following actors:

Iain Glen of "Game of Thrones," in the role of Dr. Alexander Isaacs, Shawn Roberts of "Edge of Darkness" as Albert Wesker, William Levy as Christian, Fraser James of "Law & Order: UK" as Michael, and Japanese model and TV personality, Rola, as Cobalt.

Though some critics probably didn't like the idea of the surprise extension, long-time "Resident Evil" fans will most likely be still interested once the movie is shown in theaters.
