The stars of "Orange Is The New Black" may not be getting far away from Litchfield prison anytime soon after the Netflix show got renewed for multiple seasons.
Despite this though, there are rumors that some of its original cast members may not be staying beyond season 4.
According to an item on the Inquisitr, one of the show's beloved cast Uzo Aduba might be leaving the show soon to make her West End dream come true. The Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren actress was set to star on "The Maid" that's coming out in London this month.
"I wanted to desperately do a play, and all of a sudden plays started falling out of the air!" the 34-year-old actress told Digital Spy.
"Moving to New York, I had three dreams: doing an off-Broadway show, a Broadway show and a West End show if I was lucky enough. And right now, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. "
Amid purported buzz that Aduba may be leaving the multiple seasons renewed Netflix show, there are rumors as well that another original cast member may not be appearing for "Orange Is The New Black" season 4.
In a report on Melty, it was mentioned that after Natasha Lyonne's character Nicky Nichols was nabbed for selling heroin, she may possibly not be spending any of her time on Litchfield. There were instances that the actress' name has been purportedly removed from the credits.
News of some original cast members possibly leaving after "Orange Is The New Black" season 4 surfaced just in time that Netflix renewed the show for three more seasons.
"Three more years!" showrunner Jenji Kohan told Variety.
"Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things. Thanks, Netflix! Both thanks and you're welcome Lionsgate! And kudos and gratitude to the stellar cast and crew and writers and producers and editors and musicians and mixers and shleppers... with whom I have the pride and honor of crafting this show. Three more years! Three more years!"
