Alleged OnePlus 3 model has circulated this week around the Web in a reported leaked video and photo but it turned out the materials are fake.

The video in question, which initially surfaced via Time News, showed a black-colored device that looks closely like iPhone 5S with a much similar design and a front and rear camera with LED flash. The device also has a fingerprint scanner and Time News estimates it at a 5.5-inch size.

It further highlighted that the rumored specs of the device in the leaked video are the following: a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor; two variants: 4GB and 5GB RAM with 16GB and 64GB inbuilt storage, respectively; the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Oxygen OS; a 3,500 mAh capacity battery; plus features like Near Field Communication and Android Pay; and a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

These specifications and features, accordingly, are some of the many rumored offerings of the much-anticipated OnePlus 3, which earned it the title of "flagship killer" with all its impressive software and hardware, if rumors are proven true.

Tech Times, in its report, said that Time News, where the leaked video and photo originated, claimed that a tipster provided them the leaked footage and image. At one look, the video really seems legit yet it was discovered that it was only a well-made concept video, originally published last December 2015.

Tech Times also noted that the allegedly leaked photo of OnePlus 3 undoubtedly looks different from the model seen in the leaked video, which should make anyone doubt it right away. The report further noted that OnePlus 3 "will likely hit the shelves at some point," most probably in the summer.

Time News, in a recent update to its report, has already acknowledged that the leaked video and the leaked photo are fake.
