Here's an uplifting news to brighten up your day, game players! Latest updates have now revealed that two-dimensional platform video game, "Freedom Planet 2," is still being developed.
Needless to say, the sequel game is undoubtedly coming, yet to what extent do fans should have to wait for its highly anticipated release date?
Latest updates have finally been revealed and while the all-new mind-boggling "Freedom Planet 2" is still nowhere to be seen, it is coming after all and is slated for release on Windows Personal Computer (PC) and various Nintendo platforms at a later date, as noted by Nintendo Life.
With the objective of defining "Freedom Planet's" identity as a franchise itself, the characters of the sequel game apparently underwent a general configuration redesign and will be drawn with more details.
"The original Freedom Planet was modelled as a tribute to Sega Genesis platform games," said developer Stephen DiDuro, PC Gamer reported.
"We've learned what works and what doesn't, what's fun and what's frustrating, what we should expand on and what we can afford to lose. With all of this in mind, we feel that we are ready to bid farewell to nostalgia and create a sequel that will define 'Freedom Planet's' identity as a franchise," he explained.
For the individuals who are new, the game takes after the heroes of Avalice, who are set to face their greatest challenge ever encountered so far - an ancient terror has risen up out of the profundities of the sea.
"Merga, a water dragon from Avalice's oldest and deadliest war, has been freed from her crystal prison as a consequence of the Kingdom Stone's destruction. War is imminent once again, but this time, the heroes are split between sides. As friendships are tested, will the girls stand united when Bakunawa rises?" the game's plot as revealed on its official website.
Excited? It seems that aficionados need to ho1ld up somewhat any longer as the studio, GalaxyTrail, is eyeing a mid-2017 release date for the games beta version - where its full game is then anticipated to arrive on a later date.
