Camila Cabello's "I Know What You Did Last Summer" song with Shawn Mendes apparently was so special she refers to it as her child.
In an interview at the Pop Shop Podcast as mentioned by Billboard, she took the moment to thank their fans for receiving the song so well and uttered that it was her baby.
"Thank you to anybody who has been nice to 'I Know What You Did Last Summer,'" she said. "Thank you that was my child and Shawn and I says thanks."
Camila Cabello also explained why the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" song was a reflection of her and Shawn Mendes' hearts.
"It's cool that he and I wrote it together and it wasn't something that was just handed to us," she pointed out. "I think that's why it's been so fun and why I get so excited that we're getting to play it at these cool places. ... We had our hearts in it. That's what makes it special."
True enough, it seemingly appeared that "I Know What You Did Last Summer" was full of feelings. Reports even said amid dating rumors between Mendes and Cabello, their chemistry was undeniable when performing it.
According to PopSugar, the pair looked good when they performed on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" recently.
Aside from talking about her song with Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello also dished out some details about her upcoming album as part of Fifth Harmony.
"We're 99.9% done," she spilled on the podcast. "I think we have a little bit of little things in particular songs to clean up. Finishing touches but everything is basically done. I'm really, really excited about it. I think that the fans are gonna really, really love it."
"I feel like it's just a level up. I think that songs are really better."
