Gospel Herald reported that LG is preparing to update all its G series handsets to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Previous reports claimed Sony's attempt in immediately upgrading their handsets with the Android Marshmallow. But such attempts were unsuccessfully launched on time due to reasons only known by the company. In a report by Christian Today last January, only Z3 and Z3 compact were successfully upgraded to the 6.0 version but were beta files only.
Just recently, another mobile company finally announced their adaptation to the said OS. According to a report by Gospel Herald, LG announced their update to Android Marshmallow to other flagship devices. The company is reportedly making efforts to increase their number of handsets which will be upgraded to the 6.0 version. Although one of their devices, the LG G3, was upgraded last year, the change was not across the whole globe and only a handful of countries were provided with the recent movement.
The report noted that an upgrade to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow will give the users an opportunity to move on from Android Lollipop which caused them too much trouble from multiple bugs encountered.
It is expected that the new operating system will be offering dependable security features, an efficient user interface and reliable battery saving options. Innovative apps will also be available like the Android Doze, Google Now on Top and a do-not-disturb mode which is a new feature from this version.
The Korean tech giant will start the upgrading to its mobile devices first, especially their G series handsets, then will move to their other gadgets.
As of this writing, none has been divulged as to whether when the company will start upgrading to the new firmware. Users could only hope that the upgrade will be conducted the soonest as an upcoming operating system is already being anticipated.
