Asif Kapadia recently won the "Best Documentary" award for "Amy," at the BAFTAs and the late singer's father, Mitch Winehouse was not happy at all; making it clear by posting a comment on Twitter, according to Deadline.
Please don't congratulate me on the Amy film winning BAFTA. This is a one dimensional, miserable and misleading portrayal of Amy.

Asif knows
David Joseph, chairman and CEO of Amy Winehouse's record label, Universal Music and his producer James Gay-Rees, approached Asif Kapadia and threw a pitch about making a documentary about the "Rehab" singer's life.
The Winehouse family, initially agreed to the project as well but after Mitch viewed an early version of the film, he withdrew his support. Some have assumed, that he did not agree with the results of the investigation for the documentary.
Kapadia shared that a stakeholders meeting was held after his team was given the go signal to, "make the story warts and all." He said everybody knew the end result and nobody could change what happened, but his team needed to have room to talk to everybody involved. So, it resulted into an investigation.
"But it was not about blaming a single person," said Kapadia. "It's about her and her choices. She changed management at a certain point and I don't know if you pick who you fall in love with, but for whatever reason, the way she was made up, perhaps she made certain choices and then a lot of people around her kept making decisions which were just not good for her."
The Libertines' Carl Barat, admitted that he still could not bring himself to watch the 2015 documentary about the late singer. The co-frontman was good friends with Amy, until her death in July 2011, reported NME.
"We were all friends with Amy, it's obviously f*cking devastating and hard for us all to get over so I've not really been able to watch it yet."
Meanwhile, Kapadia may be working with legendary director Martin Scorsese, very soon. The collaboration will be about the British car company Rolls Royce, revealed The Guardian.
