Legendary rap group, NWA will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Kendrick Lamar, who is the group's fellow Compton native, according to the Independent.
Lamar may be returning the favor, as he was recently presented the best rap album trophy, by NWA member, Ice Cube at the 58th Grammy Awards. The award is for the artist's second studio album, "To Pimp A Butterfly," revealed Billboard.
American hip hop group Niggaz With Attitude, has in some way, influenced Kendrick Lamar. He interviewed the members in 2015 for a magazine and has also worked with Dr Dre multiple times.
Lamar also won "Best Rap Song," for "Alright" at this year's Grammys. NWA will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2016 and fans won't forget them as the group, who let the world know about confined street life in Compton, Calif., which is one of the forgotten areas in the United States, reported CNN.
NWA "made a way out of no way, put their city on the map and solidified the disparate elements of gangsta rap into a genre meaty enough to be quantified, imitated and monetized for generations to come," said The Hall of Fame.
"Straight Outta Compton" is a 2015 film, that documented the rap group's rise and fall. Rock Hall made the induction announcement via Twitter.

In 1983, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was created, to honor musical artists and the greatest musicians in history.
Other inductees this year include Chicago, Deep Purple, Steve Miller and Cheap Trick, shared USA Today.
The iconic West Coast rap crew, NWA will be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Kendrick Lamar on April 8. The 31st induction ceremony will be held at the Barclay's Center, in Brooklyn. The event will be aired on HBO on April 30.
