Gloria Steinem is a fan of Emma Watson's Book Club.
The British actress and her club had just finished their first book in January which was "Life On The Road" by Gloria Steinem. Apart from successfully finishing the book, she also set an interview with the author to discuss the book and other aspects of her life.
A video interview between the book's author and Emma Watson was taken at the "How To: Academy" last Feb. 24, 2016 and was uploaded in the book club's official Youtube Channel.
The conversation between the two women spanned more than an hour.
"The book club is so important," Steinem told BBC Breakfast, as stated on Elle UK. "It's such a wonderful thing she's done, using her well-knowness [sic] to raise awareness."
The book club is Emma Watson's most recent project as she reportedly took a leave from acting.
"I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things, really. My own personal development is one," she stated in an interview with Paper Magazine. "My own personal task is to read a book a week, and also to read a book a month as part of my book club. I’m doing a huge amount of reading and study just on my own."
Our Shared Shelf, Emma Watson's feminist book club, is already on their third book "All About Love: New Visions" by Bell Hooks and the group has already reached a member count of more than 118,000. Those who are interested in joining the group can do so by going to Good Reads and signing up.
The new title is about new ways of looking at love and how it interconnects with our public and private lives.
