Deftones, who are set to release their new album, titled "Gore" in April, have announced a set of U.S. tour dates in support of the album.

The rock band will kick off their tour on May 8 at Charlotte, North Carolina. The band will perform at 14 other concerts in May. Pre-sale of the tickets will begin on March 4 at the official Deftones' site, reported Rolling Stone.

The band had previously announced spring tour dates beginning March 5 at Travis Barker's Musink Festival in Costa Mesa, CA.

The follow-up to 2012's "Koi No Yokan" is scheduled to get released on April 8, 2016, via Warner Bros Records.

Deftones had recently released the track "Prayers / Triangles" from their new album titled "Gore." The new album's track list includes "Prayers/Triangles," "Acid Hologram," "Doomed User," "Geometric Headdress," "Hearts and Wires," "Pittura Infamante," "Xenon," "(L)MIRL," "Gore," "Phantom Bride" and "Rubicon."

Produced by Matt Hyde, the upcoming album also features a guest appearance by Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains.

Talking about the new album, frontman Chino Moreno revealed to Kerrang! Magazine that the band's upcoming album will be different as compared to their last two albums.

"If you look at the title and the artwork, it's about a juxtaposition that, for me, is very beautiful, the frontman said, reported NME.

"I think Deftones have always flirted with dynamic and that yin-and-yang of things that are provocative and things that are beautiful. Where our last two album titles were a lot more optimistic, I think this title is intentionally different. This record is very different."

"I feel like 'Diamond Eyes' and 'Koi No Yokan' were brother-sister records in a lot of ways. They were both recording in the same way. And even though it was a tough few years we went through while making those records, I think it was important to have their optimistic outlook," he added.

"Gore" is currently available for pre-orders at www.deftones.com. Those who pre-orders the new Deftones album will receive an instant download of the first single, "Prayers/Triangles." A double-vinyl LP of "Gore," limited to 3,500 copies, is also available for pre-order.

Fans can visit Deftones official website to get more information on the band's upcoming tour dates.
