There's some good news for Red Hot Chili Peppers fans. The popular American rock band has almost finished working on their new album, which means that the Red Hot Chili Peppers new album will get a release date soon.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman, Anthony Kiedis, recently announced that the band has almost wrapped up work on their new album.
"We're in the homestretch, I sang yesterday, I get a week off, I go back to finish," Kiedis told Sex Pistols' Steve Jones on his Jonesy's Jukebox radio program, reported NME.
He added that the band will go back to the studio in February to decide on which tracks to include in the Red Hot Chili Peppers new album.
"We're going to back and listen to the songs, and see if we can beat them," he said.
The rock band's upcoming new album will be produced by Brian Burton, also known as Danger Mouse.
Talking about the producer, Kiedis said, "We had written two dozen songs before we got with him," reported Music Times.
"[Danger Mouse] is like, 'Let's keep a few of those, but let's go write all new songs in the studio.' We're looking at each other like, 'Dude, we kind of already wrote the songs, bro.' He's like, 'No, I like to write new ones in the studio.' So, in honor of accommodating this new process, we wrote all new songs, and it's a good thing we did."
Drummer Chad Smith also posted an update on Facebook sharing that the band had completed recording an entire song for the new album in just four hours' time.
"Cut a new peppers song top 2 bottom in 4 hrs last nite! #onaroll," Chad wrote.
While, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are yet to announce a title or an exact release date for their new album, fans are hoping that band might reveal more information on the album soon.
