Such a long way to go, right? As already been reported, the head of Rockstar North, Leslie Benzies' sudden departure from the company might apparently contribute to the highly anticipated "GTA 6" game currently in limbo.
"We can confirm that Leslie Benzies went on sabbatical on Sept. 1, 2014, and has decided not to return to work for the company," Rockstar confirmed to Kotaku. "We are very grateful for Leslie's contributions to Rockstar over the last 15 years as we worked together to make some amazing games," it added.
Given the fact that Benzies' sudden departure might have truly contributed to "GTA 6's" release date being delayed, it doesn't appear to be the only reason.
Neuro Gadget, in its report, said that the company are longing to incorporate 4K visuals and virtual reality (VR) compatibility and is possibly waiting for the release of the new next-generation gaming consoles - the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Two.
Excited? If the said reports hold true and considering such overwhelming goals, it seems that vast majority of the fans will still need to wait for quite a while until the long awaited "GTA 6" will come out in gaming racks at 2019 or 2020.
Needless to say, the said reports ought to be brought with a grain of salt especially that as of press time, Rockstar, themselves, have not made any official announcements regarding the rumored sequel game.
