While it has been confirmed that "Life is Strange" season 2 is finally going to happen, information about the next season's story, characters and release date are yet to be officially announced.
The sequel to the popular graphic adventure game was confirmed by Dontnod co-founder Alain Damasio.
During an interview with French publication Alchimy, Damasio revealed that he is going to contribute to the script of "Life Is Strange" season 2.
"I worked as a script doctor on Life is Strange, developed by the studio Dontnod, and I will participate in 'Life is Strange 2' later," Damasio said, reported Game Spot.
Even, Game Producer of "Life is Strange" Luc Bughadoust told in a previous interview to Polygon that he is thinking of making "Life is Strange 2."
"I would love to have the opportunity to do another season," Bughadoust said.
As far as the sequel's story is concerned, Michel Koch, the game's co-director, had revealed in an interview that the follow-up story will have new characters.
"We can really go with other characters, other locations, but still keep the identity of the game, the themes of the game," Koch said.
In another interview, Koch and Raoul Barbet said that the story of lead character Max and some other characters were put to an end in the first season itself.
"Whichever choice the player made, Max reached the end of her coming-of-age story, now she has grown up," they said, reported IBTimes.
"She made her pivotal decision and the player helped to create her character, her feelings, her relationships. We like to think that we did our job as storytellers and game designers, we helped the players to meet their own personal version of Max and Chloe."
Regarding the release date of "Life Is Strange" season 2, it is reported that the sequel might get released in January 2017, according to Video Games Blogger.
"What is the Life Is Strange season 2 release date?" the report read. "Everyone's asking that question, and the short answer is a guess for end January 2016 at the earliest and more realistically January 2017 at the latest."
