The story of Naruto's son, Boruto is set to be unveiled in manga format this spring. Although the main character of the upcoming manga series has already been introduced in manga and anime movie format, those who follow the saga of Naruto will discover more about the new world of Boruto.
Complementing the story of Boruto are the characters that would support the new hero. Fortunately, the back story of these characters will make the new world a lot more interesting. One of these characters is the daughter of Choji Akamichi, Chocho.
According to the wikia page dedicated to the character, Chocho should pose some very interesting side story to the world of Naruto. Although she is mostly known for inheriting the abilities of her father, she will most likely advance her skills especially in taijutsu. Chocho's mother is Karui of Kumogakure and she is known for her taijutsu skills.
In the original Naruto series, the role of Chocho's father is usually passing since he is affiliated with a different group. However, there is a big possibility that Chocho will have a bigger role in the upcoming manga. It should be noted that Chocho has a deep relationship with Sarada (Sasuke's daughter) as they secretly went on a mission in searching for supposedly Chocho's real father.
Of course, Chocho would also offer some sort of comic relief. Just like her father, her weight has been a problem although she'll provide a unique perspective since she could have a different interpretation with regards her weight.
The new manga series will be supervised by creator Kishimoto, "With Naruto's son in the title role alongside other new generation characters, 'Boruto' is supervised by original creator Masashi Kishimoto, scripted by writer Ukyo Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto," according to Asahi.com. Ukyo Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto have already worked with Kishimoto before on other Naruto related projects.
