The Google I/O is scheduled to take place between May 18 to 20.

Although the list of events for the conference is not yet fully known, Google already announced that its main keynote, also known as "developer festival," is expected to happen at the Shoreline Ampitheater in Mountain View which will last for around two and a half hours, Pocket-Lint reported.

Android N is likely to be introduced during the conference, with its dessert-inspired name yet to be announced, it is likely that the new update will be named either as Android Nougat or Nutella. Features alongside the new OS might include improved battery management and a force touch-like pressure technology similar to Apple, the report noted.

In addition to the report, Google's Chrome OS will also probably be launched during the conference. It was earlier hinted that Chrome will be allowed to merge with Android to bring "together the best of both operating systems" as quoted by Google.

With Google recently acquiring Waze, it is no surprise that an update for the Android Auto will be very much likely announced particularly on its compatibility to a whole new set of car models and with third party applications as well. It is also expected that integration for Waze and Android Auto will be included in the announcement.

With virtual reality technology updates coming from other tech leaders, Google could possibly elaborate during this conference that they are also on their way in developing a more suitable device for the virtual reality technology, such as an "all-in-one-virtual-reality-headset" which would not require any kind of phone or game console to function.

Several new and updated technologies were also mentioned in Pocket-Lint's speculated list of devices which could be announced, elaborated and discussed for this year's Google I/O, and consumers could only hope that those they were rooting for for quite some time now will be included.
