Just weeks before the debut of one of the highly anticipated Warner Brothers movie, reports claim that "Batman V Superman" will become a success in the box office scene the moment it launches itself.
According to Deadline, the battle film between the demi-like hero in red cape and the hero of Gotham will have an estimate opening sales worldwide of around $300 M to $340 M in over 30,000 screens. This would put the film into the top list behind other superhero films such as "Avengers" with $392.5 M, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" with $392.5 M, "Spider Man 3" with S381.7 M and "Iron Man 3" with $372.5 M.
Forbes reported that if "Batman V Superman" hit the predicted sales, it will be the number 12 highest opening weekend of all time coming between "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part Two" at $340.2 M and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" at $344 M. If it suddenly hits way more than the prediction, like $350 M, it would be ahead by a spot over "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" which ended at $350.6 M.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens on most parts of the world on March 25. According to a report by Deadline, the release date of the movie was taken advantage by Warner Brothers since it's an Easter Sunday which is a worldwide holiday. Off coast sales other than America is expected to reach the $180 M to $200 M mark.
Well, these are merely numbers that are yet to be proven once the film arrives in theaters. With all these being said, movie goers will still be the end determiner of the fate of the forthcoming movie.
The film will be directed by Zack Snyder, director of "Man of Steel", and will top bill Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot who will be playing the role of Wonder Woman.
