The season finale of "New Girl" is coming this Tuesday and absolutely everyone who follows the show knows that Reagan (played by Megan Fox) is only a temporary replacement for Jess. However, recent events in the episode "Heat Wave" might change some dynamics in the future series.

(Spoilers! You have been warned.)

In episode nine, Reagan and Nick finally get to kiss and the circumstances that led to this situation are a bit consequential. A busted AC leads the guys to look for some solution to get some cool air going in the loft. Without much of a choice, Nick has to be at Reagan's room and that's where things got interesting.

In an episode's review by the A.V. Club, "'Heat Wave' feels like an excuse to send the cast tromping through the motions of a crazy-from-the-heat storyline...But the stakes rise with the mercury, so when Nick refuses to join his roommates in Reagan's air-conditioned oasis, things take a turn for the life-or-death."

Before the episode ends, Nick and Reagan finally get to kiss. Yes, Nick has an eye for Reagan for some time now and it's the climax of the situation that got everyone started. But to what extent could they enjoy the situation? The final episode title, "Goosebumps Walkaway" has some eerie connotation on what will happen next.

Of course, this could mean anything: Schmidt and Cece's wedding is coming so they might have some trouble coping up with the pressure. This would also mean Reagan and Nick having to deal with what happens in the heat of the moment and everything could be decided in just one episode.

But even though they only have one episode left with Reagan, it doesn't mean she won't be back. TV Insider interviewed show runner Liz Meriwether, "I would love for her to come back, and we're trying to figure that out." The season finale on Tuesday is going to be a fun sendoff for Reagan.
