'Ghostbusters' is coming really soon and to give fans a glimpse on what's in store for those who eagerly anticipate the reboot, the trailer has been released online through Sony Picture's YouTube page.

The trailer practically tells that it's an origin story on how they got together against the backdrop of someone "amplifying" the ghosts in New York. The original soundtrack got remixed and will currently feature an electronic dance music (EDM) vibe.

Based on the trailer, one of the coolest things movie viewers would see is Melissa McCarthy's weapon where she can practically punch the beejezus out of a ghost. She's practically facing a massive army and she has to use more than just her gun to tackle the enemies.

Maybe she doesn't have the time to boot up her proton pack and all she has is a trusty hand-based weapon. Besides, the trailer also reveals Leslie Jones' character slapping the ghost out of McCarthy while shouting, "the power of Patty compels you!"

The upcoming film will also be a nod from the past which is a good thing considering the cultural impact of the original. In a report by Collider, "They wanted to be sure to give nods to the original, like including the Ecto-1 and Slimer, but give them their own original origin story. Fans will be happy to recognize certain things that will be returning, but it will be in new and different ways."

According to Cinemablend, the team's back story is similar to the original with a few interesting twists. Erin Gilbert (Wiig) gets booted out of her school for her paranormal claims and she ends up teaming with Abby Yates (McCarthey) who happens to be her best friend.

Together they will work with Jillian Holtzmann(McKinnon) who really knows her stuff on mechanics. Patty Tolan (Jones) will be their guide in New York as an MTA worker.

'Ghostbusters' returns to theater on July 15. Who you gonna call?
