Natalie Portman is enjoying the limelight lately for various reasons. Her upcoming movie ''Jackie'' might win her more accolades and awards once it hits the cinemas.
Washington post talked about the filming of ''Jackie'' in Maryland USA. Portman will play the role of Jacqueline "Jackie" Kennedy Onassis in this upcoming movie. Deadline reported in Dec. 2015 about this biopic which will be released sometime in 2017.
This movie is directed by Pablo Larraín and written by Noah Oppenheim. Playing the role of former first lady, this 34 year old talented actress is expected to play an intense role. The principal photography began on Dec. 16, 2015 in Paris, France and Greta Gerwig, Peter Sarsgaard (as Robert F. Kennedy), Max Casella (as Jack Valenti), Beth Grant (as Lady Bird Johnson), and John Hurt will be the co-stars of Portman in this movie.
In other news, Natalie Portman seems to be having a good phase in her career after bagging ''Thor 3: Ragnarok'' which is the sixteenth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As reported by celebrity gossip, this Israeli-American actress also bagged the ''Diorskin Forever'' campaign from Dior.
Meanwhile, Variety reported that Portman recently made her debut as director with ''A Tale of Love and Darkness''. This movie was presented at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. It is based on the memoir of the journalist Amos Oz who tried to promote for the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Portman acted in the movie too and the script too was written by her.
Portman was completely moved by this movie and she spent years to bring this movie to perfection. Portman could find a similarity to her own life with the life of Oz as both were born in Israel.
