It seems that there's a myriad of integration Facebook Messenger has going through since its launching five years ago. Recently, the messenger app is now capable of sharing songs, albums or playlist from Spotify in the conversation thread.
Because of this new feature, users don't only get to talk with their friends, but can also share the music they are currently interested at.
According to Digital Trends, users who will be receiving music via Facebook Messenger will gain access to the song by clicking at the link which would re-direct them to the Spotify App for music playing, in case they have it installed in their devices. Additional information revealed that the new feature is available for both iOS and android devices.
In the Facebook Messenger's "More," the music application can temporarily be opened. From there, users can select what they want to share in the conversation thread. Sharing concludes when it automatically returns back to the conversation thread, Macworld reported.
It can be recalled that just recently, Facebook also integrated with the Uber Application to allow users order a car without directly opening the car grabber app. According to N4BB, the messenger also allows users to pay checks and also has a Business feature meant for transacting business-related matters. In addition to N4BB's report, Hyatt was one of the first company to integrate Facebook Messenger app in their business with 1-800 as their hotline for online customers.
On the other hand, Macworld reported that the German News Publication Bild is also on its way for a tie-up with messenger to deliver news articles to online readers.
With this new improvement in the Facebook application, the messenger can reach up to 75 million solid user base of Spotify to further expand population of users.
Reports further suggest that Facebook will be announcing the new feature during its F8 Developers Conference some time in April.
