Peyton Manning confirmed last Monday that he is finally walking away from football. His legendary 18-year career has come to an end as he announced his retirement in a press conference. Speaking in front of the press and backed by notable heads in Broncos' operations, Manning was emotional as he says goodbye to the game that made him a legend. NFL.com uploaded his speech during the press conference where he thanked all the coaches, the players and even the Patriots for his career.

Now that "The Sherriff" is no longer calling the plays as a quarterback, experts have been weighing in about his options. His wit and humor during interviews can easily win him a seat for any network. According to Fox News, "ESPN, FOX, NBC and CBS all said they would love to talk to him if he decides to go into broadcasting." His presence any of these networks would easily draw viewers as they would have the perspective of an experienced and meticulous game general.

Fox Sports also listed the options for Peyton Manning after his retirement. Among his options aside from working for a network is to be back in the sideline as an NFL coach although it would be a stretch for him to immediately go back to the game after announcing he's retiring. There's also a speculation that he could be part of an NFL team as an owner or even become someone like John Elway who worked for an NFL team to develop a contender.

The ESPN transcript of his speech reveals his love for the game and he will definitely miss the part of getting ready every week to win games, "I revere football. I love the game. So you don't have to wonder if I'll miss it. Absolutely. Absolutely I will." Although he will likely take his time and enjoy his time off with his friends and family, the interest in the hall-of-famer will get him back to the game soon but in another function.
