"Agent Carter" spoilers as season 2's story could continue in a new season.
The show reportedly got low rating during the season finale and got only 2.5 million viewers as compared to its 4.02 million viewer count in the first season finale. However, the series looks like it would most likely be continuing on in season 3.
Nerd Reactor reported that a source within the studio revealed spoilers that ABC has decided to renew "Agent Carter" for another season. Though this rumor has not been confirmed by the studio, fans are hoping that the Marvel series will be able to redeem itself in a new run.
Even Hayley Atwell clued in viewers that she was more than wiling to continue playing Peggy.
"I'm really satisfied with where it ends and what happens to Peggy," she said on Hollywood Reporter. "I'm proud of this season, so if we get the opportunity to work on it again, then brilliant. Because then I'm sure I'll have even more fun working on it than I did in season two which was a lot."
"I don't quite know how to top that. But I'd love the opportunity to try. ... The writers have very elegantly put together this ending. I definitely want more."
It is highly likely that this won't be last of Peggy Carter as ABC has just renewed another Marvel series despite having lower ratings than normal. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" was reportedly renewed for season and hasn't even wrapped up season 3 yet, as reported by iDigitalTimes.
Season 2 of "Agent Carter" has just ended so aren't any spoilers on its rumored series sequel.
